London Trip

My educational trip to London was an experience that I will never, ever forget. I had an extremely great time there. As I believe, the best way to learn a foreign language is to visit the country where it  is spoken. I learnt a lot of new things there that I will never forget.
We stayed in a hotel which was not really nice and far away from the city of London, but the staff was very helpful. We visited lots of museums, like the Natural History Museum, the British Museum, Madame Tussauds and others. We went on a cruise on the Thames River and we visited Harrods. We went to Covent Garden, Liecester Square and Piccadily Circus. We watched the changing of the guard at the Buckingham Palace, we walked past Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Also, we visited the Royal Observatory of Greenwich and we attended the service at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Finally, I think that our trip was really impressive. I recommend that everyone should go to London and I would do it again!

This is my video with photographs from London.

London

 Tower Bridge
If you want an absolutely interesting trip on your holiday, you must find time to visit London. London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom.

To begin with, you should get a plane to go there but the view is extremely amazing. It’s a good idea to book tickets and accommodation in advance in the summer or in winter, as London is a very popular city and many people visit this city.

In addition, if you go there, you must go sightseeing. There are a lot of interesting and exciting sights. You must go on “the Eye of London” to have fun. In addition to that, London hasn’t got so many brilliant beaches as Greece, but there are many fantastic swimming pools to enjoy your swimming. Moreover, London is a very picturesque and beautiful city with lots of tourism. The people who put on incredible clothes are very hospitable and polite with tourists.

In conclusion, if you visit this place, I’m sure you won’t regret it. The sights and historical places are a piece of culture. It will be the experience of the lifetime.

Great Britain

         Great Britain

Great Britain also known as Britain, is an island situated to the north-west of Continental Europe. It is the ninth largest island in the world and the largest island in Europe. With a population of about 62 million people in mid-2010, it is the third most populous island in the world, after Java (Indonesia) and HonshÅ« (Japan). It is surrounded by over 1,000 smaller islands and islets. The island of Ireland lies to its west. Politically, Great Britain also refers to the island itself together with a number of surrounding islands, which constitute the territory of England, Scotland and Wales All of the island is territory of the sovereign state of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and most of the United Kingdom's territory is in Great Britain. Most of England, Scotland, and Wales are on the island of Great Britain, as are their respective capital cities: London, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.

The Kingdom of Great Britain resulted from the political union of the kingdoms of Englandand Scotland with the Acts of Union 1707 on 1 May 1707 under Queen Anne. In 1801, under a new Act of Union, this kingdom merged with the Kingdom of Ireland to create the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. After the Irish War of Independence (1919–1921) most of Ireland seceded from the Union, which then became the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
