A complaint

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing with regard to my stay at "President Hotel".I stayed in room 237 from 19th August to 25th August and I was very unhappy with the service I received.
Firstly, when I booked the room,I requested a room with two wardrobes and a telephone.Your receptionist had assured me that my room had all I asked. When I discovered that it did not,I called the receptionist. He told me that all rooms have only one wardrobe and you must pay extra to have a telephone in your room.
Secondly, the receptionist told me that the hotel had three swimming pools and a sauna. It has got only one pool and the sauna does not even exist. The receptionist said that he made a mistake when we talked.
Thirdly, the receptionist assured me that the hotel has internet connection, but I realised that it has not.
I therefore request a complete refund.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
Eva Chrisostomaki

Pioneer summer camp!

To: Miss Christina Markoulaki
From: Marinos Varverakis
Subject: Pioneer Summer Camp

   Introduction

I visited the Pioneer summer camp in order to learn how suitable it would be for a school trip. I spoke to the supervisor and to some children from all around the world about this summer camp. This report presents my findings.

 Facilities, location and accommodation

The Pioneer summer camp has excellent facilities and visitors can do a large number of activities, including swimming, karate, rock-climbing, windsurfing canoeing, athletics and ather. The children will also be able to compete in these activities to gain confidence. There are basketball, football and volleyball courts, a fully- equipped games-room which means the camp has very good organisation and safety. There children can play tabletennis, pool, darts and chess. There can also have fun and relax with their friends. Moreover, in pioneer summer camp children can improve their English by speaking to their new friends from around the world if they want. Also, there are numerous arts and crafts, such as pottery and painting. Then, there are already several playgrounds for young children. In addition to that, children can enjoy themselves with the appropriate accommodation. The accommodation is renewed every three years. This summer camp is near the sea whith the purpose of doing some environmental activieties.

Staff and cost

"All instructors and supervisors have to be fully qualified before they come to work" they told us, so children will be able to have fun knowing that they are in totally safe hands at times. Also, the prices are very reasonable, because it costs 50$ per two months. However, the owner informed me that the camp has a special offer for school trips, which would cost 5$ per pupil.

Suggestions and recommendations

In conclusion, I stronly support having a safe place to go where I can relax with my friends or do some absolutely interesting activities. I would like to suggest visiting the Pioneer summer camp on our next school trip.

Danger in the mountains

If I had realised the danger I would, have never gone on the expedition. We decided to go with my family and friends on an expedition in the mountains. The mountain was off the beaten track, but it was peaceful and beautiful.
In the evening,my friends and I,John and Marinos, decided to explore the mountain. Our parents told us not to go far away.Well, this promise wasn't successful. We moved on and John found a cave.We thought that it might be dangerous, but we wanted some adventure,so we continued walking through the cave.It was dark, but Marinos had a torch. When we finally got out the cave we saw a thick forest.I said that we shouldn't move on,but the others said that it would be fun,so I followed them.
I must have walked for 20 minutes after I realised that John and Marinos weren't there.I was running, calling their names, without an answer.I sat under a tree.It was getting dark.Suddenly,I heard voices calling my name.It was Marinos and John.I asked them where the had been and they told that they had been looking for a way to get back to the cave.
With big effort,we found the cave and we got back at the camp. Our parents were very angry.I was starting to explain to them about our "journey",but Marinos interrupted me and said that we were playing board games behind the big rock for three hours and that's why they couldn't see us.Even if it sounds unbelievable,it worked! It was the experience of a lifetime and our secret, too!

        Gergeri

Gergeri is a large village approximately 40 kilometres away from Heraklion. It is near Zaros, Santa Barbara, Nybritos and Panassos. Nearby is the tallest mountain of Crete called Psiloritis. Psiloritis is 39 kilometres away from Gergeri.
If you want to come to Gergeri you should book tickets to Heraklion and then you can come to Gergeri by car, bus or bike. If you are already in Heraklion you mustn't book tickets. As for your accommodation, in the village there are three small hotels fully-equipped. In the village there are supermarkets, kiosks and traditional cafes.
In Gergeri there are many places to visit like the Natural History Museum, the Folklore Museum, churches, the statues of Erotokritos and Aretousa and others. In the Folklore Museum there are local and traditional dresses, rural tools, old objects etc. Also there are fountains and a Bottle Factory called Rouvas. From sources of Gergeri stems in water RouvasGergeri is a traditional village, peaceful, beautiful and picturesque. In the summer the weather is very hot and the water very cold. In winter it rains and snows. The temperature in winter is between 9-0 so the water is colder than in the summer! If you want a nice, peaceful place to stay or visit with your family or alone, this is that place! It will be the experience of your lifetime!

Zagorochoria

Zagorochoria is a group of villages which are very close to one another. One of the villages is Monodendri which is on the mountain like all the other villages. All the villages are very traditional and all the resorts ,the hotels and the houses there are made of stone.Zagorochoria is near to Ioannina so if you want to escape for a little for the village you can go there and visit modern cafes, pizzerias and restaurants.
If you want to go there ,you must book the hotel room for one month earlier because Zagorochoria,
especially in the winter, have a lot of tourists. There you can go by plane. You must take the flight from Heraklion to Ioannina and then you can go to Zagorochoria by bus or by taxi. But if you love adventure, you can take the ship from Heraklion to Athens and then you must go there by car.
A negative thing about Zagorochoria is that they haven't got many attractions and sights. But you can go to Ioannina which is near to Zagorochoria and visit Vrelis museums and the lake which is near to Ioannina. In this lake you can take the boat and you can visit a little island which is opposite Ioannina. Also, you couldn't miss the very beautiful cave of Perama.
In my opinion, this place is one of the best winter destinations.I'm sure that if you visit this place you will want to visit the rent of the villages again in the winter.

London

 Tower Bridge
If you want an absolutely interesting trip on your holiday, you must find time to visit London. London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom.

To begin with, you should get a plane to go there but the view is extremely amazing. It’s a good idea to book tickets and accommodation in advance in the summer or in winter, as London is a very popular city and many people visit this city.

In addition, if you go there, you must go sightseeing. There are a lot of interesting and exciting sights. You must go on “the Eye of London” to have fun. In addition to that, London hasn’t got so many brilliant beaches as Greece, but there are many fantastic swimming pools to enjoy your swimming. Moreover, London is a very picturesque and beautiful city with lots of tourism. The people who put on incredible clothes are very hospitable and polite with tourists.

In conclusion, if you visit this place, I’m sure you won’t regret it. The sights and historical places are a piece of culture. It will be the experience of the lifetime.

Patsideros

                                                               Patsideros

Patsideros is a beautiful traditional village of Crete. It is near Arcalochori and village Zinta. Patsideros has got many historic attractions that the tourists can visit.
You can go to Patsideros by car or by bus, but first if you are from another place, out of Crete you have to go by airplane or boat to Heraklion. Then you can go by car or by bus to this beautiful location .
The attractions that you can visit at the village are the old houses (date back to 1820), the the historic churches and the secret from enemies school  (dates back to 1790). Also you can visit the square of the village, where there are a lot af trees and the streets of the village where there are a lot of traditional houses.
Patsideros in winter is almost amazing, but there is a small problem: the weather is too bad, as it always snows or rains. The solution to this problem is to stay in a house and look at the view of the snowy trees, streets and mountains . Also, there are traditional cafés where you can drink hot chocolate or anything you want and relax.
If you visit my lovely village Patsideros I'm sure you will never regret it ! I think it will be a great experience for you all to learn about life in the countryside and stay in a clean and cozy atmosphere .
