George Orwell's 1984
My favourite scene from the book ''1984'' was when Winston, the hero, was refusing to say that two and two make five.O'Brien ,one of the villains, was asking Winston again and again how many fingers he was holding.Winston didn't want to change his beliefs but O'Brien was causing more and more pain to Winston. This situation didn't stop.Whet finally Winston said ''five'' but O'Brien told him that he was lying.Winston felt confused. He said ''four, five, four.Anything you like.Only stop it, stop the pain''.
