Reading Strategy: Multiple choice questions

Step 1: First skim the text to get the main idea.

Step 2: Read the first question and underline key words in it.You don't have to read the answers now!

Step 3: Spot the key words in the text. Maybe there are synonyms of them in the text.

Step 4: Read the relevant part of  the text. Now go back and read the answers offered to you.

Step 5: Find the correct answer according to what the text says, NOT your general knowledge. The correct answer may have synonyms of the words in the text.

Step 6: Repeat the same steps for the rest of the questions.
